Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using TradeVessels ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Platform.

2. Platform Description

TradeVessels is an online marketplace that connects buyers and sellers of marine vessels. We provide the platform and tools for listing, discovering, and communicating about vessel transactions. TradeVessels does not own, operate, or inspect any vessels listed on the platform.

3. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Platform, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into agreements on behalf of the company you represent.

4. Company Profiles

When creating a company profile, you represent that you have the authority to act on behalf of the company. All information provided must be accurate and current. Misrepresentation of company identity, fleet ownership, or capabilities is grounds for immediate account termination.

5. Vessel Listings

Sellers are solely responsible for the accuracy of their listings, including vessel specifications, condition, class status, photographs, and asking price. TradeVessels does not verify the accuracy of listing information.

Listings must represent vessels that the seller has the legal right to sell. Fraudulent listings, including vessels the seller does not own or has no authority to sell, are strictly prohibited and may result in legal action.

6. Commission and Fees

TradeVessels charges a 1% commission on the final sale price of any transaction completed through the Platform. Listing a vessel and using the Platform's communication tools is free of charge — commission applies only when a sale is completed. TradeVessels reserves the right to modify the commission rate in the future, with advance notice to all users. Listings created under the current pricing will be honored at the rate in effect at the time of listing.

Both buyer and seller are required to notify TradeVessels upon completion of a transaction that originated through the Platform.

7. Communication

All communication between buyers and sellers should occur through the Platform's messaging system. TradeVessels is not responsible for communications that occur outside the Platform.

8. Due Diligence

Buyers are responsible for conducting their own due diligence before completing any transaction, including but not limited to vessel inspections, survey reviews, class certificate verification, and sea trials. TradeVessels does not guarantee the condition, fitness, or merchantability of any vessel listed.

9. Limitation of Liability

TradeVessels acts solely as a marketplace platform. We are not a party to any transaction between buyers and sellers. We do not guarantee that any transaction will be completed, that any vessel meets the buyer's requirements, or that any seller will fulfill their obligations.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeVessels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

10. Prohibited Conduct

• Posting fraudulent, misleading, or inaccurate listings
• Misrepresenting your identity or authority
• Circumventing the Platform to avoid any applicable fees
• Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
• Using the Platform for any illegal purpose
• Scraping, harvesting, or collecting data from the Platform without authorization

11. Termination

TradeVessels reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or any other reason at our sole discretion.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abu Dhabi, UAE.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
