This vessel is a Cutter Suction Dredger from the IHC Beaver line, built in 1992. The dredger was completely refurbished in 2014, resulting in her current practically new condition. The IHC Beaver dredgers are well known for their robust construction, reliable operation, and excellent performance. The hull consists of three separate pontoons: one main pontoon housing the engine room and dredge pump, and two side pontoons housing bunkering capacity and storage rooms. These types of dredgers are developed and dimensioned to allow transport by road or by sea. All pontoons can be disassembled, transported separately, and reassembled at the project location, providing the most cost-effective solution. IHC Holland is the manufacturer of all Beaver model Cutter Suction Dredgers. Outfitted with the latest dredging technology and with her relatively small size, she is an ideal tool for smaller dredging projects in sandy conditions. Due to this dredger being a standard design, spare parts and wear parts are available from stock. This dredger is designed specifically for dredging in sheltered and sandy conditions and is less suitable for dredging rock material or operating at open sea.
